I. love. The. Mentalist. Amazing show, amazing actors AMAZING HAIR! Simon Baker is such a pretty boy. I remember seeing him in some movies but I never noticed how cute he is, and he's so perfect to play Patrick Jane! And, of course, how could I not fall for the *obvious* OTP of the show? So here we go with a little picspam of BLOODSHOT, which was *pure gold* for every Patrick/Teresa shipper.

Hmm, I rarely speak my mind on this lj, I mean I don't talk about things that happen in my life, but.. today there was something I was willing to share.

I've recently thought about my way of using internet, I mean.. I started to use it basically to have access to information about tv series and movies which I used to obsess about (and still do) and so on. Then I got involved in all kind of stuff, forums, blogs, livejournal communities and, at first, I was amazed by the number of things I could do just sitting here on my sofa at home. But recently I thought that maybe I'm not making the best out of it, I mean out of this whole 'internet experience'.

I've always seen the net as a place where I could search, download and find cool things. So, basically, I'm a parasite. Ha, well, that doesn't sound really nice does it, but it's kinda true. I mean, I usually subscribe to communities or forums to read spoilers/see pictures/read things. I bet many people do just the same thing, but the fact is that I don't just randomly surf through the net for fun.. I spend hours staring at the screen of my laptop!! The first thing I do in the morning is turning my pc on and checking some sites for updates!!

The fact is, I never actually thought about making something else with the internet.

Then, recently, I've heard about a friend of mine who just started to make videoblogs on youtube, and got a lot of subscriptions, and I thought they were funny and that it would have been kinda cool to do something like that if I had a youtube account. And then I go  'oh wait, but I do have a youtube account!'.. yeah, I made it to watch videos years ago. Never thought of using it to actually 'share' something.
Then I heard of another friend who met his boyfriend in a chat, and now they've been toghether for something like, a year. I've been on many, many chatrooms, I might actually have been the first person it Italy to ever enter a chatroom, and I've talked with thousands of people, but.. I've never, ever met a single one of them, nor did I make real friends.
Then I also read on some forums I've been visiting for god knows how long that some people from that forum, who live in different countries, actually met and became friends.

So here's my thought: am I the only one who isn't doing anything *useful* with the internet?? Am I the only one who just wanders throught sites the whole day just to read things? I mean I do own some blogs and I do make icons on this lj, but I don't think this really fits the definition.

Or maybe I'm just a bit frustrated today! ;P

Guess what? Fringe icons! To celebrate that wonderful episode that was 'The cure'.. very very interesting ep, much better than the last one, which I found a little bit boring and OH MY GOD THE TENSION between those two. Liv and Peter are so much going to be my favourite couple of all times, even more than Adama/Roslin and.. maybe, I said maybe, they could beat Mulder and Scully. We'll have to see.. and please TPTB don't screw things up!! I already heard something I didn't want to hear about (this is a spoiler so I'll white it out)-->a guy that Liv will kiss in a couple episodes.. I so hope it's not true, I mean, it's ok for me to take it slow between Olivia and Peter, and I'm even buying the whole 'Liv is still obsessed with John and can't get over him' so.. a new boyfriend? This soon? HELLno.
BTW, here are my icons, and I'll probably do something else with caps+photoshop+fringe because surviving the three weeks hiatus that separates us from the new episode will be very, very hard.

I don't understand why, but firefox doesn't want me to write on lj. Yesterday I wanted to post some icons and suddenly the box to post was gone. Now I'm using explorer, and everything works just fine! *is confused*
BTW, I just read that Fringe will get a whole season!! Yay!! Or as Walter would say: that's wonderful news!!;))

It's official: I can now use textures. I'm still learning but I think I got the bases, and I've already done a few things of my liking (such as the header I'm using right now.. a Fringe header, of course ;P). More things to come in the next days.. probably I'll do some icons and stuff with the new ep of Fringe, if it post after Tuesday. Did I mention recently that I like Fringe? Maybe not. Let me say it again then: I love Fringe. I'm so sorry I can't watch it on tv because I don't live in the US, but I hope the ratings will get better and better. I don't wanna hear anything about cancellation!! And I'm becoming obsessed with Anna Torv too, you know. Bad, very bad, another girl crush for an actress, as if I hadn't enough already!

Somebody please stop me. I am really becoming obsessed with Fringe, I've started a drawing of the 'Peter-Olivia-Walter' trio, I wrote something very close to a fanfic, (and that's really something, since I don't think I ever wrote one before) and I can't stop making icons/banner/backgrounds. And I have just two episodes to work with!! I can't imagine my situation when we'll be, like, in the middle fo the season. You're lucky that that many of my creations suck, so I usually post just a few of them. But I swear my HD is filled with stuff these days!

Ok, I’m totally, absolutely, desperately in love with Fringe. I do. I think it’s exactly the kind of show I was missing! And welcome back monster-of-the-week! Even though I like shows like Lost, Heroes and so on, I’ve been waiting for a long time for something like this to show up: some paranormal stuff with a conspiracy in the background (of course, what is a mystery show without its conspiracy?), but with a new case every week. And I think Anna Torv is just perfect for the role, she’s great, she’s though, she’s cute but not too cute, and she really has some chemistry with Joshua Jackson. Those subtle glances, the occasional invasion of each other personal spaces.. hmmm, I’m definitely seeing some potential there! Oh, and can I say something? J.J. Abrams & co. keep saying it’s not the new X-Files. You know what? It totally is. I can see so many similarities it hurts my eyes, and that could actually piss me off.. if the show wasn’t so well done. Please, please, don’t let it be cancelled! Only one year left of Battlestar Galactica, and then I’m off searching a new series to look forward to every week: I want *so bad* Fringe to be the one!*crosses fingers*

When I first saw it on youtube the other day I remembered seeing it a long time ago on mtv, but I think at that time (when I was younger and a big Texas fan and I had this huge girl-crush on the singer) I didn’t even know who the big tall guy Sharleen Spiteri was dancing with was! Alan Rickman, one of the sexiest over-60 men alive!! Sharleen Spiteri and Alan Rickman! Together! Dancing tango! *BOOM*! That’s just crazy, people. Crazy.

Oh my it's been a while isn't it? I have to say I grew tired of my lj mostly because I felt it was too difficult for me to customize *things* since I had basically no clue about how to use CSS and such things, and when I created my lj I was just starting to understand photoshop and I didn't like my icons very much... well, long story short I thought it was a bit pointless to keep a lj since I felt mine kind of sucked.

But now I've changed my mind and I'm back, even if probably I won't post very often. But it's a start right? Right.

Star Trek TOS has becomed by far my favourite subject for icon-making.. maybe it's because I like the colours. On the other hand, it could be just because I happen to like Mr. Spock. Yeah, I know, who am I kidding? ;P
